Every heat pump can control automatic boiler (with automated fuel delivery – electricity, diesel, gas).

The choice of heating equipment is made by choosing characteristics that cover the heating energy needs in the lowest ambient temperatures in the certain region.

But that kind of low temperature last only few days in year. That means that you have a heating power reserve which will be used extremely rare. It is more cost-effective to mount heat pump with less power and to use second energy source in the coldest days.

The combination of two heating types – cheap energy from expensive heat pump and the expensive (for electricity) laborious solid fuels (coal, wood) heating, allows making the best cost- effective combination.
