What to choose – an air conditioner or a heat pump?

Broadly speaking, around 100 square meters living space is the point where the two types air-conditioning units collide.

For a smaller then 80 square meters area the heat pumps expensive investment. In the conditioning of a residential are about square meters the heat pump becomes 20 % more efficient then the air conditioner.

For more than 100 square meters home the heat pump air conditioning is the most advantageous option.

Of course a lot of other factors affect the choice – the type of building and its placement, existence of a drilling or a well with enough water debit (water source heat pumps work more efficient and save more electricity), is there a built heating system and what kind is it, what the occupants of the house would like to build or change, how is it best to combine their wishes with the technical capabilities.
